This Diwali, Would You Buy iPhone 5S(Rs 54,000) and iPhone 5C(Rs 42,000) on Dhanteras?

Nov 1-Airtel, RCom To Sell iPhone 5s Rs 54,000 and 5c Rs 42,000

iPhone 5C at Rs 42,000 and iPhone 5S at Rs 54,000

Waiting for the iPhone lovers of India is now over. Apple has released the date for sale of its latest armor of smartphones iPhone 5S and 5C. Reliance Communication and Airtel are going to sell Apple’s iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C smartphones from November 1 in India, on the auspicious eve of Dhanteras.

Both RCom and Airtel have issued the statement for selling of phones through their stores starting November 1, 2013. Even Airtel has started pre-bookings for the latest iPhone through Airtel Retail Store.

Last month, Apple launched iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C in the United States and China market and reportedly sold around nine million in first three days.  According to a new analysis by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners, the higher-end 5s has been outselling the lower-priced 5c in the United States.

As the date is so perfectly selected to harvest the Indian mindset of purchasing goods on the eve of Dhanteras. Whether the release date of sale is a coincidence or its a planned marketing strategy of Apple is not clear. But it will definitely help and boost sale of Apple’s iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C smartphones in India. The only thing that would create a hurdle in the sale is the price tag of the two. As, there are so many options available in the range of Rs 15K to Rs 30K, are Indians ready to pay half a lakh for the new iPhone handsets?

So, the question arise, would you buy iPhone 5S(Rs 54,000) and iPhone 5C(Rs 42,000) this Dhanteras or would go for the alternatives at a cheaper price?

As of now Microsoft is releasing security updates for Windows XP, but due to security issues and to move more users from XP to Windows 8, Microsoft has decided to stop updates in 2014. According to Gartner prediction, more than 15% of medium and large enterprises will still have Windows XP running on at least 10% of their PCs after Microsoft support ends in April 2014.
