Google™ Named Android 4.4 After Nestlé® Kit Kat Chocolate Google Android is world's most powerful and most used mobile OS and has recently surpassed 1 Billion smartphone and tablet users. Google unveiled Android 4.4, KitKat   as the next version of Google's mobile operating system, to be named after famous Nestle Chocolate Kit Kat. Earlier Android's versions were also named after sweet deserts: Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, and Jelly Bean. Earlier it was though that the new Android version would be named as Key Lime Pie . But news about Android KitKat came as a surprise. It might be a marketing strategy or a mutual business understanding between Google and Nestle, but it will be definitely bosting both brands' product and media coverage. Google Opens Glass Users Invite Friends to Explorer Program Google now offers Glass Explorers by letting current users the ability to invite a friend(s) to buy Google Glass. What's New in Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Launched in new Google Nexus 7 On Wednesday, at an event in San Francisco, Google announced the next iteration of its Android OS, version 4.3. Android 4.3 offers many features, including support for Bluetooth Smart devices, background Wi-Fi location, more language support and easier text input. Android 4.3 Jelly Bean also supports OpenGL 3.0 for better graphics experiences in Android games. It offers support for a new set of APIs for better digital content protection to help apps to serve up full HD (1080p) video.
